ACE AIRFOIL INFLATABLE
DOWNWIND FOIL / LIGHTWIND WING
The popular Ace Foilboard has been incorporated into the inflatable range for the most compact and travel convenient board created uncompromised experience in downwind SUP foiling and lightwind wingfoil days. This board is also a fantastic crossover board for wingfoiling as well, both in the low and the high end.
NEW UPGRADED CARBON PLATE
Redesigned for faster, easier foil setup with fixed nuts and bolts - just like our composite boards. The plate is now 2 cm longer, giving more standing area for smoother takeoffs, while the closed EVA pad prevents water from entering the plug area.
ENHANCED STABILITY AND CONTROL
The innovative V-shape, combined with a wider, flat-standing deck with inverted EVA trays, is designed for maximum stability. This enhanced design ensures greater comfort while paddling in choppy waters, and allows for a more forgiving, wider staggered stance.
DELUXE LITE CONSTRUCTION
The lightest inflatable construction from Starboard. It helps you take off earlier, fly faster and in lighter winds as well as conserve energy with every stroke and pump.
DIRECT FOIL RESPONSE
Patented Top Plate Technology, with just 1.5 cm between your feet and the foil, provides direct feedback and improved control. Combined with the solid carbon standing plate, it enhances the flight experience on the inflatable foil board, eliminating any wobbly sensations.
VEE BOTTOM SHAPE
The innovative V-shape, combined with a wider, flat-standing deck with inverted EVA trays, is designed for maximum stability. This enhanced design ensures greater comfort while paddling in choppy waters, and allows for a more forgiving, wider staggered stance.
WIDER FLAT DECK
The EVA tray provides a wide, flat standing area for greater stability and comfort in choppy waters. The wide deck allows a forgiving stance, while the narrow hull below ensures maximum speed and efficient glide, offering both stability and performance.
NARROW TAIL
The narrower tails are easier to sink and the more rounded noses touch down less frequently.
RAIL EDGE RELEASE & EVA PLUG
The 3D Rail Edge enhances planing before takeoff, while the EVA Plug seals the foil mount for smoother water flow. Together, they reduce drag and boost acceleration for faster, more efficient takeoffs on your inflatable foilboard.
NEW ROCKER
The rocker on the nose and the tail of the boards has been increased to enable even easier take offs and more forgiving touchdowns.
WELDED RAIL TECHNOLOGY
The Welded Rail Technology creates a completely airtight, mechanically bonded seam without the risk of glue weakening over time. This makes Starboard inflatable boards stronger and longer lasting.
All inflatable foil boards feature welded rails, both along the board and at the foil opening.
ADJUSTABLE FOOTSTRAPS INCLUDED
With an 18cm distance between the inserts, you can have a wider foot strap span for better trim and control while foiling since you can micro-adjust your feet position.
4 different positions for the footstraps in the front and 5 different positions for the straps in the back are available.
LEASH, PUMP AND BAG
Included with the board: a coil leash, Tiki Pump with dual nozzles for both board and wing, and a travel-friendly wheelie bag that fits a complete wing foil set.
BOARD CONSTRUCTIONS
The unique shape and the four fins generate maximum drive and acceleration, bringing an awesome production of speed, flow and power to your sailing in all wave & wind combinations.
Stable and extremely responsive, the Quads are most rewarding when driven off the rails for powerful yet smooth turns. The four-fin grip gives a very connected sensation to the wave yet they still have the ability to lose the tail when extended through the lip for a rotational move.
For 2015, subtle changes producing significant differences in performances have been introduced on three models in the range.
The Quad 79 and 84 have their Vee brought forward of the fins. This produces more precise rail-to-rail control in the bottom turn allowing for quicker trajectory changes as well as facilitating cutbacks as the board rolls off the Vee to set the forward rail.
More outline curve was added between the footstraps of the Quad 74 for quicker and tighter turns but also allowing the board to project more vertically up the face of the wave. - See more at: http://www.star-board-windsurfing.com/2015/products/boards/quad#overview
