BALANCED MEDIUM ASPECT
The VIVA’s straight central leading edge and fuller wingtips deliver power, acceleration and lift, while the rounder outline and straighter trailing edge ensure smooth glide, agility, and a wide wind range — perfect for waves, jumps, downwind, and all-around freeride.
GRADIENT LOAD CANOPY
The canopy sports lightweight Aeroflex 55 up front, Code-Tec 85 in the midsection, and 1x row of durable Ultra-X at the trailing edge — lighter cloth where loads are low, tougher fabric where stress is high — for efficient power transfer, less distortion, and smooth, forward-driving feel.
LIGHT & AGILE
A super slim strut and light, narrow Ultra-X wingtips, combined with lighter, stiffer canopy materials, reduce swing weight and drag, making the VIVA feel exceptionally light, responsive, and playful in hand.
MEDIUM DIHEDRAL
A medium 12.5° dihedral strikes the ideal balance between the maneuverability of a steeper dihedral and the efficient power delivery and stability of a flatter dihedral, providing smooth control, stability, and all-round performance, particularly excelling when flagged out.
UPWARD-SWEPT WINGTIPS
Upward-swept wingtips help to add stability, neutrality, glide and make the wing very forgiving whether you're flagged out or fully powered.
DEEP PROFILE, MEDIUM CHORD
The deeper profile delivers strong low-end power, while the medium chord balances agility and stability — short enough for a direct, responsive feel, yet long enough for glide and control — making the wing feel balanced and lively across all wind conditions.
FLUTTER-FREE FLIGHT
Four stiff fibreglass battens are strategically positioned on the trailing edge, which paired with the perfectly tensioned rear Ultra-X section of the canopy make for an incredibly silent and flutter-free ride regardless of the wind strength.
MINIMAL WINDOWS
Minimal PU windows have been carefully placed in the middle Code-Tec 85 section of the canopy, with centre windows designed to provide a downwind view and front windows for a forward view, to help riders avoid collisions without sacrificing on the performance of the canopy.
COOL GREY LEADING EDGE
A cool grey leading edge keeps PSI stable in the sun, reflecting heat to prevent overinflation and extend the wing’s lifespan. *A black leading edge goes from 10-13 PSI in the sun, while cool grey only goes from 10-10.5 PSI.
ERGO FLAG HANDLE
An ergonomically low-mounted flag-out handle with a wide, soft touch grip and stiff webbing base provides effortless, direct and comfortable freefly control.
DUAL PUSH-TURN VALVES
User-friendly max flow push-turn valves offer easy inflation and deflation, while seperated strut and leading edge inflation points let you fine-tune pressures separately for maximum performance and customisation in changing conditions and disciplines.
PISTOL GRIP BOOM (SOLD SEPERATELY)
Choose between Prepreg UD Carbon or Aluminium Pistol Grip booms based on your budget and preference. The ergonomic, soft-touch design offers semi-flagged control, easier tacking and gybing, excellent roll control, and a non-slip, comfortable grip for longer sessions.
WING WAIST LEASH (INCLUDED)
All Starboard wings come standard with a durable waist leash for safety, comfort, and hands-free movement, keeping your wing secure while keeping your arms free. A wrist leash cuff is also available as an interchangeable aftermarket part for those who prefer it.
WING BAG (INCLUDED)
Our vented wing bag accommodates your wing, a pump, accessories and fits a full 109 cm long boom inside while still attached to your wing so that you don't need to remove it when on the move. Made in partnership with Waste2Wear using recycled plastic bottles.

AEROFLEX 55 (front-canopy)
Ultra-light front luff canopy section (55 GSM) — Allows a 10% overall weight reduction, smoother power delivery and a forward-driving sensation due to front expansion.
CODE-TEC 85 (mid-canopy)
High tenacity mid canopy (85 GSM) — Delivers stability in the middle section of the canopy with a solid balance of responsiveness and long-lasting performance.
ULTRA-X (canopy-trailing edge & wingtips)
Starboard-exclusive high-tech laminate co-developed with Challenge Sailcloth™ (86?GSM) — 4× more durable than traditional woven cloth. Ultra-X reduces swing weight at the tips, prevents foil tips tears from propagating, limits stretch, and keeps the wing responsive and crisp session after session.
HTD160 (leading edge & strut)
High-tenacity dacron leading edge & strut (160 GSM) — Stiff, strong and reliable dacron incorporating a cool grey shade for stable PSI and lasting structure.
