TIME TO LIVE ON THE EDGE
The all-new HYPER 83 & 88 boards elevate your wave-riding experience with an improved outline and optimized stance, enhancing responsiveness and precision. Expect a more aggressive, razor-sharp ride with rapid acceleration and higher top-end speed. The HYPER 78, 93 & 103 remain our trusted quad-fin wave weapons, delivering the proven high-performance you rely on.
THE HYPER IN DETAIL
VREVISED FIN & INSERT PLACEMENT
On HYPER 83 & 88, all fin boxes move 4 cm back, while all inserts shift 3 cm back ; the new boards are 3.5 cm shorter yet 2 cm wider at 30 cm from the tail—delivering a more aggressive, precise ride.
SHARPER RAILS
Rails from 45 cm to tail are significantly sharper, enhancing early planing, acceleration, and top-end speed.
PROVEN EXTREME QUAD-FIN
HYPER 78, 93, & 103 continue to offer radical performance, while the new updates elevate 83 & 88 to a new level of precision in wave riding.
CARBON REFLEX SANDWICH
THE FLAGSHIP CONSTRUCTION
The Carbon Reflex construction is our lightest, proven flagship construction and has some of the lowest warranty rates in the industry. Using the lightest biaxial carbon provides more feel, more responsiveness and more controlled flex than conventional boards. On the water, this construction will provide you with ultimate performance. It delivers the most direct feedback from the water surface and allows for quicker and more precise movements. With the Carbon Reflex construction you’ll start planing earlier and keep more speed through turns and wind holes.

REVISED FIN & INSERT PLACEMENT
THIN RAILS
Extra-thin rails ensure effortless turning and enhanced grip in big waves.
LOCKED STANCE & QUICK SETUP
Jim Drake footstraps and ultra-light Starboxes deliver a secure, comfortable stance and rapid board setup.
SHARPER RAILS
Rails are sharpened from 45 cm to tail, promoting earlier planing and boosted top-end speed.
RADICAL ROCKERLINE
A pronounced rockerline offers ample scoop for extreme turns in powerful waves.
The unique shape and the four fins generate maximum drive and acceleration, bringing an awesome production of speed, flow and power to your sailing in all wave & wind combinations.
Stable and extremely responsive, the Quads are most rewarding when driven off the rails for powerful yet smooth turns. The four-fin grip gives a very connected sensation to the wave yet they still have the ability to lose the tail when extended through the lip for a rotational move.
For 2015, subtle changes producing significant differences in performances have been introduced on three models in the range.
The Quad 79 and 84 have their Vee brought forward of the fins. This produces more precise rail-to-rail control in the bottom turn allowing for quicker trajectory changes as well as facilitating cutbacks as the board rolls off the Vee to set the forward rail.
More outline curve was added between the footstraps of the Quad 74 for quicker and tighter turns but also allowing the board to project more vertically up the face of the wave. - See more at: http://www.star-board-windsurfing.com/2015/products/boards/quad#overview

SWALLOW TAIL SHAPE
The narrow, extended tail keeps sufficient rail in the water for smooth, secure landings.
MONO CONCAVE BOTTOM
A vee transitioning into a mono concave provides rapid planing and responsive feedback.
