THE KODE IN DETAIL
THE FUTURE WAVE OF BUMP & JUMP BOARDS
TRUE WAVE PERFORMANCE WITH FREERIDE SPEED
EXPERIENCE NEXT LEVEL PERFORMANCE
KODE 145 – THE AGILE EXPERIENCE
If you enjoy a larger size Freeride board, the KODE 145 promises you a new level of satisfaction. Tuned with a single fin, you feel an incredibly “free” board underfoot. We’ll see you smiling through your first autopilot gybe, thanks to the curved outline and easy, confidence inspiring rounded rails.
The shorter length increases your sense of agility, and with responsive thruster setup, you’ll gybe like never before and chasing small waves to ride. Jump on board with 6 to 8.5 meter sails and ask yourself how a board can make such a difference in sensation.
CARBON SANDWICH
PERFORMANCE VALUE
Each Kode underside is laminated in full T700 unidirectional flat-woven carbon for optimized flex, while the deck is 60% carbon, alternating between unidirectional and bi-axial carbon. Advanced composite sandwich layers utilise only high grade PVC foam, enhancing performance, strength and durability. The result is the lightest construction delivering a structurally strong board offering a precise, controlled and responsive ride. Comfortable, direct and efficient.
HAVE IT ALL YOUR WAY
Thruster for reactive turns and wave action. Single fin for early planing and fun, fast freeride. All Carbon Sandwich KODE are supplied with both thruster and single fin set options. Wood Sandwich KODE 85, 95 & 105 supplied with thruster fins. Larger Wood Sandwich KODE 115, 125, 135 and 145 are supplied with single fin.
VERSSATILITY. BULIT IN
All KODE’s come equipped with Powerbox centre and lightweight Starbox side thruster fin boxes except the 85 liters with a US box due to the slim tail. Faster assembly, more accurate fin setup and tuning… Our Starbox is compatible with US.
CARBON SANDWICH, PERFORMANCE X VALUE
Each Kode underside is laminated with 2 layers of Glass with different angles for optimized flex, while the deck is 60% UD 80g carbon to have a responsive deck.
SIDE FIN BOXES MOVED 3.5 CM FORWARD
The new KODE revised the side finbox position 3.5 cm further forward in order to make it more agile and aggressive when it comes to wave use.

PLAY HARDER. FOR LONGER
Premium Jim Drake footstraps manufactured from certified natural Yulex-foam, the smoothest fabric for a comfortable ride. Under your feet,10mm thick footpads with diamond grooving pattern provide positive grip, maximising comfort over extended sessions while being resistant to wear-and-tear.
The unique shape and the four fins generate maximum drive and acceleration, bringing an awesome production of speed, flow and power to your sailing in all wave & wind combinations.
Stable and extremely responsive, the Quads are most rewarding when driven off the rails for powerful yet smooth turns. The four-fin grip gives a very connected sensation to the wave yet they still have the ability to lose the tail when extended through the lip for a rotational move.
For 2015, subtle changes producing significant differences in performances have been introduced on three models in the range.
The Quad 79 and 84 have their Vee brought forward of the fins. This produces more precise rail-to-rail control in the bottom turn allowing for quicker trajectory changes as well as facilitating cutbacks as the board rolls off the Vee to set the forward rail.
More outline curve was added between the footstraps of the Quad 74 for quicker and tighter turns but also allowing the board to project more vertically up the face of the wave. - See more at: http://www.star-board-windsurfing.com/2015/products/boards/quad#overview
